Policies


Deposits:


All bookings will have a $50 deposit that must be paid to hold your date/time in my schedule. The deposit will go towards the overall cost of the session unless stated otherwise. Failure to pay your deposit means I will not put you on my schedule. No exceptions. All deposits are non-refundable as I spend a lot of time preparing for our time together. **Wedding and Game Day Photo deposits are higher. Ask for info.



Cancelations & Reschedule:


I require a 48-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. You may only reschedule 1 time for your session but please note that my schedule is very limited! Deposits are non-refundable, so if you reschedule please note that the deposit will go towards your next session. If you have to reschedule a second time I will require another deposit, due to missing out on an opportunity to book someone else in your original date/time slot.

No-Shows:


If you are 15 minutes late to the session and I have not heard from you via- text, email, phone, or Instagram DM’s- I will leave. No-shows are no-shows, and it is disrespectful. If you want to book with me again to reschedule your missed date, another deposit will be required.

Contract:


All clients will be sent a contract that you MUST sign before I can take your photos. Failure to do so will result in no session and you will have to reschedule with me for another day. This contract goes over my policies, if you do not agree with my policies then I am unable to photograph you. All photos are owned by Olivia Waldo Photography and can be used at the discretion of the business/owner.

Safety:


I will do my best to keep myself and you safe should anything happen. I am CPR-certified and First Aid Certified. Please do not bring weapons to your session as this is prohibited. If you book me for baby/child photos- I will not pick up your baby/child. I will ask you to help move and position as needed. I have the right to decline/cancel/leave any sessions if my safety is in question. 

Pets:


If you are wanting photos with a family pet, but said pet is not friendly towards other people I will have to decline. If something happens and your pet gets loose I can not be held responsible. I will not hold your pet or their leash. That is your responsibility. If you need to have a friend or family member tag along to hold the pet or leash please do so. I have the right to decline/cancel/leave any sessions if my safety is in question. 

Illness/Life:


If you become ill or have a life event that prevents you from coming to your session, please reach out to me ASAP! I will do my best to work with you to reschedule your session that fits with your needs and mine. Please do not come to your session if you know you are ill, I will make time for you in my schedule.

Appearance:


It is the client(s) responsibility to come dressed, hair, and makeup done to the session. If you are unhappy with the way your clothes, hair, or makeup look in your photos I am unable to give refunds at this time due to that being out of my control. I suggest planning ahead and practicing your hair/makeup if you are worried. I will edit out any blemishes and distracting details from the background but that is it.

Weather:


If you are from KC you know that the weather around here can get pretty ugly. If the weather does not look good on the day of the session and your session is outside we will make other arrangements to get your photos done!!

Photographer Reschedule:


If I become ill or have an unfortunate life event that prevents me from coming to the session to photograph clients, I will let everyone know ASAP. I will work with all my clients to reschedule in a timely manor that works for both parties.

Payment:


You will pay a deposit to hold your spot in my schedule. After that, I require full payment day of the session, you are more than welcome to pay before that though! No payment = No photos. We will discuss payment options at the time of booking.

Travel Fee's:


$0.85/mile travel fee IF outside a 50-mile radius of Lees Summit, MO. This is to cover any gas expenses that might occur!
